HANDLEBAR POSITION

Life Fitness has been a leader in the stationary cycle category ever since the creation of the LifeCycle® which was the world's first electronic exercise bike. The Symbio SwitchCycle® is the latest iteration of stationary cycle products with novel features and upgrades. On the Symbio SwitchCycle®, you can comfortably stand and ride out-of-saddle or ride seated on the comfortable and cushioned seat. The Symbio SwitchCycle blends the designs of a traditional upright bike and a group cycle bike to create a versatile cycling experience.

DESIGN

The product development and engineering teams at Life Fitness consider a wide range of body shapes and sizes for exercises when designing all products. For the Symbio SwitchCycle®, the biomechanics team used anthropometrics and ergonomics software to model users ranging from 4'9" to 6'5" on the upright bike and determine what range of positions for the pedals, seat, handlebars, and console will provide a comfortable cycling experience for all users. These specifications were used in the product development process to ensure that exercisers of all shapes and sizes can reach the pedals, console, and other touchpoints to enjoy a comfortable ride.

COMFORT

The cushioned seat on the SwitchCycle make these products extremely comfortable for all riders. The SwitchCycle was designed with a wider seat shape and softer seat material than a traditional indoor cycling bike, allowing for a comfortable experience when riding in the saddle for an extended period of time.
